It’s not long now until Christmas, and here at Newmarket Holidays we’re looking back on an excellent birthday year. And we’re also feeling thrilled with a couple of early presents!
Once again, we have been honoured in the British Travel Awards – adding to our 2012 award for Best Operator to Italy and our 2011 award for Best Coach Holiday Operator. This month we’re celebrating because we’ve now been named Best Large Holiday Company Escorted Tours 2013. We’re especially proud be recognised here, because the awards are decided by the general public, and it’s great to know that our customers think we’re delivering award-winning quality across a number of different areas. A special thanks goes out to everyone who took the time to vote for us, as well as to our wonderful, hardworking Newmarket team!
It doesn’t stop with the BTAs, though. Just this morning, we learned that we’ve also been presented with the award for Biggest Overall Leisure Groups Operator by Disneyland Paris – reflecting the popularity of our Disneyland Paris ‘Family Fun Breaks’. We’ve been able to offer a real range of magical holiday choices, from Bank Holiday and Half-term trips to Bonfire Night, Christmas and New Year celebrations. We were competing with a range of major tour operators and smaller, specialist travel firms for this award, and we’re proud and pleased that so many happy customers have chosen to book with Newmarket Holidays.
The award also shines a light on the success of our Study Experiences section. Study Experiences has become the UK’s leading provider of education-inclusive travel and tours for schools. Their innovative, learning-based holidays include trips to Disneyland Paris, such as the chance to perform live with the Disney Performing Arts Onstage team as hosts, and a break that uses inspiring seminars and interactive workshops to explore the park’s use of computers and technology. Study Experiences and their sister-section Sport Experiences prove that the world has come a long way from the conventional school trips of old.
Adding to our awards collection this November has been a wonderful and unexpected ‘Christmas Bonus’, but when it comes to January, our New Year’s Resolutions are already made. We’ll be aiming to keep up the same high standard of customer service and exciting range of tours that has allowed us to thrive into our 30th birthday year.
